Sunday, Nov. 21st, many downtown Tulia merchants will have their business open 2 – 4 pm; and, in conjunction, Swisher Co. Senior Citizen’s Bldg. will be open 2-5 pm with booths, refreshments, and celebrating the upcoming season! 

Fright Night in Tulia – Oct. 29th, Fri. – 5:00 – 6:00 – stop by Tulia business merchants, they want to help you celebrate Halloween!

Business Fair   Purpose:  All businesses in Swisher Co. are invited to participate, and the public is encouraged to attend.  This is not a trade show or sales event, but a chance to see what Swisher Co. businesses-whether retail, wholesale, manufacturing, service, or home-based – have to offer.  Sponsors are:  Swisher Co., Ogallala Commons, RSVP, Tulia Chamber, Swisher Mem. Friday, July 23rd is Tulia’s Summer Cele., hosted by KFDA NewsChannel 10 and Tulia Chamber of Commerce.  Music will start at approx. 6pm – performing will be:  Small Town USA, Blake Burrow and The Tommy Gallagher Band.  There will be Amarillo Star Vocal Auditions, fun, food, and games.  A chance to win $10,000, sponsored by Dean Boyd, will take place @ 9:30.  Local sponsors are:  Tulia EDC, Mid Plains Telephone, City of Tulia, Swisher Electric, and Moore Than Medicine; you are appreciated!!

Saturday, July 17th – Swisher Co. Picnic, celebrated every year in Tulia, near the 17th of July, which is the date our county was founded.  Events include:  Swisher Co. Sr. Citizen’s Breakfast, Kiddie Parade, Parade on Broadway (Dipstreet), Barbeque Lunch in Conner Park (our county was founded by Mr. Conner), Ranch Rodeo, and Rodeo Dance.  There will be many family and class reunions, get togethers, and shindigs.  Call the Tulia Chamber at 995-2296 for more info.
