C of C’s Blog Page is Updated

For those of you who wrote on our blog page, commenting that you are disappointed that the page would be discontinued, it is back!  Several of you said that this is a way for long-distance friends to keep up with what is happening in Tulia, and we will do our utmost to keep it current.  Thanks for commenting, it is read and considered!  And, by the way, there is plenty happening in “movin and shakin” Tulia!

Christmas in Tulia

Plans are underway for Christmas in Tulia!  The date will be Sunday, November 15th.  Businesses in our town will be open for their individual open house 2-4 pm; please call the Chamber office at 995-2296 if your business wants to participate.  In addition, Swisher Co. Senior Citizen’s building will be open with booths of home businesses, homemade goods, and fundraisers. Time is 2 - 5 p.m.

Swisher Co. Museum is also planning to have a fund raising activity featuring Christmas pictures of families on Sat. and Sun. (Nov. 14th & 15th) 2-4 pm each day.  Pictures will be snapped by “Pictures by Jody”,  the vintage carriage will be used, and Santa will be there!

Chamber Fright Night

Tulia’s annual C of C Fright Night will be Friday, Oct. 30th 5 - 6 pm.  The businesses around and near our town square will be giving out Halloween treats.  These businesses will have a sign in their window noting participation.  Chamber members will receive the sign free, non-members will be charged $5.00 for a sign.  Call the Chamber office at 995-2296.

Participating businessess list will be handed out at Tulia’s downtown gazebo at 5:00 Friday afternoon.

SHELLY BORCHARDT-NEW DIRECTOR

The Tulia Chamber Board would like to welcome Shelly Borchardt as New Director of the Tulia Chamber of Commerce. We are going to have a very busy year and are glad to have her on our team.

Shelly grew up in Tulia, graduated from THS, raised her son here, and thinks that Tulia is a great place to live!  Her number one goal is to encourage and promote Tulia’s businesses, and to attract new ones.
